Course of Study Add/Drop/Withdrawal Policy Fall 2017

NNU has implemented a defined Add/Drop/Withdrawal Policy for our online Course of Study Program.
It is as follows:

  1. Students can add a course up until the first day of class. Adding on the first day of class does not guarantee access to the course on the first day due to technical restrictions that may apply.
  2. Students can drop (meaning no record of attending the class) up to 7 days/1 week from the beginning date of class. This is the last date to qualify for a refund.
  3. Students may withdraw (leaving a W on their transcript) based on the length of the class. No refunds are given past the first 7 days of class.

All drops/withdrawals must be emailed to Barbara Manley at blmanley@nnu.edu, not the instructor, by midnight mountain time on Sunday of the weeks mentioned above. Here are some example dates to help clarify:

You start a 6 week class on 08/28/2017. Your last day to drop that class without a "W" on your transcript and qualify for a refund is 09/03/2017. Your last day to drop that class with a "W" on your transcript is 09/17/2017 (no refund). After midnight mountain time, on 09/18/2017, you will receive whatever grade you earn for the rest of the course.

You start a 12 week class on 08/28/2017. Your last day to drop that class without a "W" on your transcript and qualify for a refund is 09/03/2017. Your last day to drop that class with a "W" on your transcript is 10/08/2017 (no refund). After midnight mountain time, on 10/09/2017, you will receive whatever grade you earn for the rest of the course.

Even though I will not be in the office on Sundays, your emails will be date and time stamped of when they were received and I will process them the following Monday.

Thank you for understanding these changes made by the University and working with us to make your NNU Experience a great one!

Sincerely,

Barbara Manley
